Criminal Justice Processes

The R.E.A.C.H Case Tracking Co-ordinators, Fiona and Catherine, will offer you the opportunity to receive regular updates throughout the whole of the criminal justice process.  This will include regular updates during the police investigation, as well as keep you update to date during the court process, should you wish this.

They can act as a central point of contact between yourself and those involved in the police investigation.

For some people, the thought of attending court can be a very daunting prospect.  To help you understand the whole system and process, it is very important that you are aware of what may happen at court, what roles people in the courts play, where you will be and even what the court looks like.  You will be better prepared to attend court,  if you have an awareness of these issues.

You should be offered the opportunity to visit a court, prior to your case being heard.  If this does not happen, please ask about this to either of our Case Tracking Co-ordinators, Fiona or Catherine, or the police officer who is investigating your case.
